Why did my 3D print fail?

Troubleshooting

Problem: I have started a print but there is no 3D print on the platform?

You started the 3D printer, waited for the 3D print to finish and find yourself wondering why there is nothing printed on the build plate. This is a common issue, which can easily be resolved. Most often the 3D printer has been printing, but it just did not stick to the build plate. That's why you first have to make sure to empty the resin tank and check the bottom of the tank. Often you find hardened resin from the failed print sticking to the ground. This needs to be removed before continuing. DO NOT USE the metal scraper, USE the plastic one for the resin tank. You do not want to scratch the surface. Sometimes the failed print is hard to remove. In that case use some protective gloves and gently touch the bottom of the resin tank to loosen the hardened resin. As soon as it comes off the foil, you can remove it and refill the tank with UV-resin. Now let's continue fixing the root cause of this problem.

Hardened Resin sticking to the bottom

Solution 1: Re-level

What does this mean? Before the printer can be used for the first time, the metal foot must be leveled once. To whom the word means nothing, don't worry, it just means that the metal foot is aligned so that it is perfectly aligned for printing. How this works can be found on our website directly under setup guide or in the manual of the printer.
Still not clear? - No problem, we are happy to help.

Solution 2: Place the object correctly in Photon Workshop

The metal base has been leveled and all settings on the printer have been checked, but the print still doesn't hold? No reason to throw in the towel right away.
Let's go back to the Photon Workshop program. Here we check once again whether the object is correctly positioned on the printing plate. Were supports used? - No? They should be used here in any case. How exactly they can be inserted can be easily seen in our video or read in our guide.
